The HandLab’s recent publication titled “Carpal Tunnel Syndrome Impairs Thumb Opposition and Circumduction Motion” (Clin Orthop Relat Res., DOI 10.1007/s11999-014-3651-5) was featured in a CORR Insights commentary. The commentary references the series of HandLab studies that examine the effect of carpal tunnel syndrome on hand function. This CORR Insights points out that our studies provide new insights into the neuromuscular function of the hand and that further research is needed to continually improve understanding of the complex function and control of the hand.
